For the value, this knife is a no brainer. Easy to handle, feels good to hold, holds a nice sharpness, and looks great at incredible value.
If you are an everyday home cook or even someone who just really loves to cook at any chance they get, this will take care of you and provide a fantastic user experience. Of course, so long as you take care of it.
Nice even weight, holds an edge, very sharp. Will probably buy the smaller one next
Handle is super comfortable for me. Out of the box the edge is very sharp, I gave it a good hand wash and started cutting some vegetables and I almost started laughing from how smooth and satisfying the cutting experience was. The wood and shape of the knife is beautiful, as is the hammered design and bevel of the steel.
The knife stayed sharp the entire time I owned it, which was only a few months after all. I find this knife easier to handle than a flat/square handle knife. The octagonal grip is easy to grip even if your hands are wet, but I wouldn't entirely trust it considering the wood handle is polished. The grip is also very sturdy and doesn’t wobble at all.
The knife also looks great and looks exactly like you imagined. The picture is not of the polished version, the knife is in really good condition. It's also very sharp right out of the box! I was able to cut the magazine paper just by applying pressure.
And it comes with a nice little cloth that you can use to wipe off excess water.
Sharpest knife I’ve ever owned, cuts through everything like butter, feels good to hold
